Mike Epps and Katt Williams Spoof Fright Night With The House Next Door

Full disclosure, I have not seen the recent Mike Epps horror-comedy Meet the Blacks, and for the most part, I don’t plan to add the film to my must-see list. That said, I am a big fan of Epps, especially his roles in The Hangover and the final two Friday sequels.

So it only makes sense that when I hear THR reporting that Mike Epps is about to begin shooting a new spoof on Fright Night (which is itself a borderline spoof) with Katt Williams playing his pimp neighbour who may or may not be a vampire, I don’t know about you, but that makes for a film that I will watch asap.

The House Next Door is a direct sequel to Meet the Blacks and will follow Epps reprising his role as Carl Black, “an over-stressed but best-selling author who moves his family to his childhood home so he can find peace to write his new book. But when an extravagant pimp (Williams) moves into the neighborhood, Black becomes convinced that the man is actually a vampire bent on stealing his family.”

The House Next Door begins shooting next week in Atlanta.

Synopsis:
In a send-up of the hit franchise The Purge, Carl Black moves his family to Beverly Hills in hope of a better life, but their arrival coincides with the city’s annual purge, where all crime is legal for twelve hours.
