Someone Made an Entire Backstory for Rick and Morty’s Glenn the Gromflomite

In the pilot episode of Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty,” there’s a point where the titular characters are being chased by a ton of Gromflomites thanks to the shady activities of Rick. During this scene, Rick hands Morty a gun and tells him to shoot at the Gromflomites, explaining that they’re robots, so it doesn’t matter if they’re hit.
Turns out they’re not robots and Morty is devastated to learn of this after he shoots the leg off one, who dies screaming while a fellow Gromflomite screams that they need to call for his wife and children.
This Gromflomite, my dear readers, is Glenn; and YouTuber Dead Sound (aka David James Armsby) has created his own animation that shows the backstory of this particular character. Equal parts hilarious and strangely touching, it’s a wonderful tribute to a “simple bureaucratic robot.”
