In early May, we posted information about Blue Underground’s 3-disc Blu-ray of Dario Argento’s The Stendhal Syndrome, his 1996 offering that became his highest grossing film in Italy. Now Blue Underground has created a trailer for their upcoming release, which comes out later this month. You can check it out below!

The 2k restoration was done from the original, uncensored camera negative and will be presented for the first time ever in its proper 1.85:1 theatrical aspect ratio. The package will include the film on Blu-ray and the extras will come on two DVD discs. The street date for the collection is July 25th, 2017.

Directed by Argento, The Stendhal Syndrome starred Asia Argento and Thomas Kretschmann.

Synopsis:
When beautiful police detective Anna Manni follows the bloody trail of a sophisticated serial murderer/rapist through the streets of Italy, the young woman falls victim to the bizarre “Stendhal Syndrome” – a hallucinatory phenomenon which causes her to lose her mind and memory in the presence of powerful works of art. Trapped in this twilight realm, Anna plunges deeper and deeper into sexual psychosis, until she comes to know the killer’s madness more intimately than she ever imagined.
