Carnage Will Be the Villain in Venom Solo Film

Just over a month ago, it was announced that Tom Hardy would be playing the titular role in Sony’s Spider-man spinoff film Venom. Now it’s been revealed by THR that the villain in Venom will be none other than Cletus Kasady’s dark alter ego, Carnage.
Kasady first appeared in 1991 in “The Amazing Spider-Man #344”. Basically a sadistic little fucker, Kasady is a sociopath with little to no regard for any life whatsoever. He burnt down an orphanage and, even worse, killed a dog with a drill. What a little shithead…
Scott Rosenberg (Jumanji) and Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower) will write the script with Zombieland‘s Ruben Fleischer directing. Sony confirms that the film will be coming out October 5th, 2018, with production kicking off this fall.
