Sharknado 5 Announces New Title, Premiere Date, and Loads of Cameos

Syfy has announced that they will be premeiring Sharknado 5: Global Swarming on Sunday, August 6th, at 8/7c. The film continues Syfy and The Aslyum’s smash cult series which began back in 2014.
Furthermore, they’ve revealed that we’ll be seeing cameos from celebrities such as Fabio, Tony Hawk, Clay Aiken, Olivia Newton-John, Bret Michaels, Margaret Cho, and more!
Oh, and to cement home the politically charged subtitle, they’ve also revealed the film’s new tagline: “Make America Bait Again.” Y’know, cause of sharks and bait and… yeah, you get it.
This film sees both Ian Ziering and Tara Reid reprise their respective roles as Fin Shepard and April Wexler. It was directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and written by Scott Mullen.
Synopsis:
In Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, the mission gets personal for Fin Shepard and his bionic wife, April, when their young son gets trapped in a traveling ‘nado and transported all over the world. From London to Rio, Tokyo, Rome, Amsterdam, and beyond, our globetrotting heroes will seek assistance from a highly-skilled squad of royals, scholars, and Olympians, enlisting famous faces from news, entertainment, and sports in their most epic battle yet.
