The San Diego Comic-Con is heading our way in just a few more months, and the first 2017 SDCC-exclusive item from Entertainment Earth has been revealed: a new “Twin Peaks” Monitor Mate Bobble based on the town’s iconic welcome sign. We’re thrilled to be able to give our readers the first look and provide the details.
From the Press Release:
And so it begins! With the new Showtime limited event series that premiered this past Sunday (May 21, 2017), Entertainment Earth announces its first 2017 San Diego Comic-Con Convention Exclusive – the “Welcome to Twin Peaks” Sign Monitor Mate Bobble.
“TWIN PEAKS” debuted in 1990 and, in retrospect, was a harbinger of the Golden Age of Television. Widely regarded as one of the best television dramas of all time, it mixed mystery, horror, and soap opera into one surreal package, delighting and mystifying audiences. Now, you can celebrate the return of the award-winning television series “TWIN PEAKS” on Showtime.
Let your office mates know how much you missed Laura Palmer and the quirky characters of Twin Peaks, Washington, with this Monitor Mate. Perched high atop your computer workstation, fly your flag of fandom for the once and future king of prime time melodramas. The sign looks much like the famed sign from the series, apart from being scaled down to fit on top of your computer monitor and being attached to springs for a pleasing bobbly effect.
Crafted of resin, this colorful sign will add mystery to the decor of any office. It attaches to your computer – or any surface with a non-damaging adhesive pad. This official “TWIN PEAKS” collectible from Bif Bang Pow! enhances the room and makes an excellent gift for any fan of the series.
Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con 2017 will be the first to grab the “Welcome to Twin Peaks” Sign Monitor Mate, which has a limited production run of 1,200 pieces, at San Diego Comic-Con on July 20, 2017, in the Entertainment Earth booth (#2343).
Not attending San Diego Comic-Con 2017? *Pre-order this limited-edition Monitor Mate at Entertainment Earth now.
Continue to check Entertainment Earth for the latest convention exclusive news.
(*NOTE: This item will first be sold during San Diego Comic-Con 2017 at Entertainment Earth Booth #2343. If supplies remain after the show, pre-orders will be filled and shipped to you then – in August 2017.)
NECA Announces Ashy Slashy Puppet Replica
One of our favorite horror TV shows is Starz’s “Ash vs. Evil Dead,” and one of our favorite moments from the first two seasons is when Ash brings out his “Ashy Slashy” puppet.
If you’re like us and have been wondering when you could get your hands on an Ashy Slashy puppet of your own, today we have good news.
NECA has just announced its prop replica!
You can check out pics of the packaging reveal NECA did over on Facebook below, and then let us know if you’re going to be buying your very own Ash Slashy puppet.
We’ll let you know when the item becomes available for pre-order!
Rundown via NECA:
Every day can be demented play day with your very own Ashy Slashy puppet from Season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead! We’ve replicated Ash’s potty-mouthed little doppelganger from the asylum episodes for your (hopefully G-rated) entertainment.
This is a working puppet – insert your hand, and you can move the mouth; plus the arms are poseable thanks to inner articulation.
Ashy Slashy is approximately 15” tall.

Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and the Xenomorph Getting Their Own 8-Bit Pop Vinyls
Funko has released some delightful horror-themed products over the years, but this just takes the cake. They’ve announced a new line of 8-bit Pop Vinyl figures, which will feature pixelated versions of Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and the Xenomorph. I never thought I’d say it, but even Freddy Krueger looks cute.
Freddy and Jason will both come in standard editions, in addition to GameStop exclusives based on how they both appeared in their own NES video games. The Xenomorph will also have a Previews exclusive edition depicting it smeared with acid blood. Have a look at the images below to decide which versions you like best. Most of us would probably like to purchase all six!
These adorable (but still horrible) figures will be available in January, so make sure you don’t go bankrupt over Christmas.
