Man O’ War: Corsair – Warhammer Naval Battles Launch Trailer Sails In

Published

on

Unlike its Total War: Warhammer and Dawn of War cousins, developer Evil Twin Artworks do not have the luxury of having a huge AAA publisher like Sega onboard to provide an unlimited marketing budget for their game Man O’ War: Corsair – Warhammer Naval Battles, so we’ll do what we can to help by displaying the launch trailer below. And yes, I just used the word ‘war’ six times in one sentence, get over it.

Man O’ War: Corsair – Warhammer Naval Battles – Launch Trailer
Engage in epic naval combat and explore the oceans of the Warhammer world. Man O’ War: Corsair is a video game of high adventure, naval combat and exploration based on the Games Workshop classic Man O’ War table top game.

Your Quest
Sail the seas plundering enemy ships, visiting ports, and trading. Dominate everything in your path with a fleet of ships at your back and watch people flee at the mere sight of you, leaving legends of your deeds in the history books and steel through the hearts of your enemies.

Explore and Fight
Captain a wide variety of unique sailing vessels, explore and trade whilst combating enemy ships in frantic naval action.

Boarding Actions
As well as sea battles, engaging in boarding actions with enemy vessels sees you walking the deck, weapon in hand, attacking enemy crew. Loot the vessels or sink them, the choice is yours.

Enemies and Allies
Buy a variety of unique and deadly ships. Command allies from different races and fight many deadly enemies. Fierce storms, deadly fleets and terrible foes will block your path to ultimate glory.

Custom Battles
Build your own fleet from any faction in game, and battle it against any foe you choose.

The Old World
A captain in Man O’ War: Corsair can sail the coast of a huge continent in the Warhammer world. Visiting over 50 ports from Erengrad to Sartosa, the sea is yours to explore.

A heroic adventurer does not only have enemy ships to contend with. The deep and unexplored oceans hold terrifying creatures that few see and live to tell the tale. These deadly creatures emerging from the deep sea will chill blood and drop jaws in equal measure. The wise would attempt to flee but those brave enough to tackle such creatures will be famed throughout the world.

Here there be monsters….

Universal Acquires Riley Sager’s Final Girls for Film Adaptation

Published

on

The “final girl” has long been a staple of the horror film genre, and lately there have been several films with just about that very same title focusing on her and/or them. Well, guess what… there’s another one coming as Deadline is reporting that Universal Pictures has won a bidding battle to option rights for Final Girls, the bestselling novel from Riley Sager that hit shelves this past July.

The movie adaptation will be produced by Anonymous Content’s Nicole Clemens along with Sugar23’s Ashley Zalta and Michael Sugar as that stand-alone company continues to ramp up.

Sager’s book centers on Quincy Carpenter, who 10 years ago as a college student went on vacation to Pine Cottage with five friends and came back alone, the only survivor of a horror movie-scale massacre. In an instant, the press dubbed her a “Final Girl,” coined for the group of similar survivors.

We’ll have more for you on this as it comes.

Trailer: Paul Solet’s Bullet Head Hits Blu-ray This January

Published

on

After checking out writer-director Paul Solet’s pregnancy gone awry flick Grace a few years back, the talented filmmaker made my list of directors to watch out for.

And it is with this in mind that we’d like to share the trailer and Blu-ray/DVD release info for his newest action-survival-crime flick Bullet Head.

The movie stars Adrien Brody, John Malkovich, and Rory Culkin (Scream 4) as a group of thieves trapped in an abandoned warehouse with a vicious man-eating dog…

And Antonio Banderas?

That’ll work!

The trailer reminds me of Fede Alvarez’s Don’t Breathe, but as we all know, that is NOT a bad thing. Throw in some crime-movie good times and this could be a sleeper hit.

You can check out the trailer for yourself below – along with a full list of special features – and then let us know what you think in the comments below or on social media!

The film has been rated R by the MPAA for “violence, bloody images, language, some drug use, and nudity.”

Bullet Head hits theaters December 8th, and Blu-ray/DVD January 9th, 2018.

PRE-ORDER NOW!

Chiller Channel Will Be Discontinued This January

Published

on

Back in March of 2007, the Chiller horror channel was launched. The channel was filled with wall-to-wall horror movies and TV shows.

The channel even tried their hand at original scripted content recently with the series “Slasher, starring Kaite McGrath. The second season just premiered on Netflix.

But it seems like today we have bad news. The end of an era. NBC has decided to shut down the Chiller Channel effective beginning on January 1, 2018.

This news comes to us via the TV Answer Man, with an NBC spokesperson telling the site, “NBC Universal will discontinue Chiller as of January 1, 2018.”

The spokesperson didn’t give any further details on the decision but many believe it has everything to do with Verizon, Charter, and Dish dropping the channel earlier this year.

While those drops weren’t catastrophic, the final nail in the coffin came recently when Cox dropped the channel, effectively pulling it out of around 40 million homes.

Are you sad to see the Chiller channel canceled? How often did you watch content via Chiller? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below.
