The Silence of the Lambs Gets Recut as a Romantic Comedy and it Kinda Works?

The 1991 psychological horror/thriller The Silence of the Lambs may be one of those rare “perfect” films, at least in my mind. The way that it builds the story, connecting one puzzle piece to another with intense, deliberate meaning and focus is nothing short of stunning. That’s not even discussing the stellar performances from Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, and Ted Levine. It’s a masterpiece of cinema and it ranks as one of my favorite films of all time.

But what if the film changed genres and offered something a little more…romantic? The folk over at CineFix have taken footage from the film and cut a new trailer that aims at making the movie look like a romantic comedy. While it’s not perfect, it’s pretty damn effective and certainly gets the idea across. Would I watch this movie if this were how it was presented to me? I honestly don’t know. Romantic comedies aren’t really my thing. Cannibalism, however…
