Hannibal Meets Beauty and the Beast in Delightful Rendition of Be Our Guest

With the recent release of Disney’s live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, it only makes sense that people want to capitalize on its popularity while at the same time creating something fresh and new. That’s why I’m smitten with this parody cover of “Be Our Guest” from The HollyHobs that changes the lyrics so as to fit Bryan Fuller’s “Hannibal,” complete with appropriate visuals!
In a strange way this match feels rather perfect. There is a theatricality and extravagance in the NBC show that works delightfully well with the exuberant Disney melody. Sure, the song has a very sinister undertone to it, but wasn’t there always a masked sense of glee in Dr. Lecter as he played the FBI against one another?
