Ready to Scream for More Toys?

While I have to admit it’s very cool that there’s finally a company out there who wants to make toys based on figures from Revenge of the Ninja and Night of the Creeps (pictured), I question how much profit would be involved for such a niche market.
I’m sure the founders of Silver Scream Toys wonder the same thing, but that’s not stopping them from going ahead with their plan to bring some of the most obscure cult figures to 7″ plastic life. Recently the folks at Movie Maniacs got a chance to chat with one of Silver Scream’s founders, Allen Duncun, to pick his brain about what fans can expect from the series.
Aside from the aforementioned films, Silver Scream are currently pursuing the rights for The Prowler, Prom Night and The Cryptkeeper from “Tales From the Crypt” for their first series. Would be a damn sexy lineup if they make it happen and I’m sure they’ve got even more obscure stuff floating around their brainpans to give to fans if the line is successful.
Jerry Macaluso, former head of SOTA Toys, has offered his sculpting skills for Silver Scream, so if nothing else we can be sure the figures will look fantastic.
