Happy Birthday: Edgar Allan Poe

You know, we’re just tired of writing stories about celebs dying so instead we’re focusing now on celebrating their lives! Case in point: the great Edgar Allan Poe, who was born on this day, January 19th, in 1809! He would have been 208.

There’s not a day that goes by without Poe’s influence being felt throughout the genre, and we’re all better off for his decision to jot down the wondrous horrors that spawned from his imagination.

We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to revere the man, the myth, and the legend of the truly one-of-a-kind Edgar Allan Poe. Cheers, good sir!
