Directed by Ryan Callaway, the upcoming sequel Where Demons Dwell: The Girl in the Cornfield 2 (Facebook) now has a trailer ahead of its release date on Friday the 13th, January 2017.

From the Press Release:
Shady Dawn Pictures released the second and official trailer to its next feature film “Where Demons Dwell: The Girl in the Cornfield 2”. The trailer first appeared Halloween Day on popular site Nerd Rage News via Steve Wollett before going public the next day. The horror movie is set to be released in select theaters and on VOD on Friday the 13th, January 2017.

Sisters Adelaide and Abigail initially don’t bat an eye when their father Jack brings home a little girl, Caroline, to take care of her while her parents sort things out. However, they soon realize their home has been infested by powerful supernatural forces that seemingly followed Caroline there. Adelaide meets another young girl, Tiffany, who has encountered one of the entities in the past. To Adelaide’s terror she reveals that they won’t leave until they’ve taken a life, and possibly more.

Filming took place over the summer and the film is currently in post-production, with industrial duo Pig7 currently working on the score. They last provided the majority of the music for “The Girl in the Cornfield” which came out last May and is now on Amazon Prime.

“There are a lot of elements to this movie but at its heart it’s a haunted house tale – something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” Director Ryan Callaway said. “I think the idea that your house is actually inhabited by evil, demonic forces is terrifying. So I did my best to bring that to life through these characters and the experiences they have. I researched a lot of demonic activity as I was working on the script – not only the events themselves but the toll they take on the families. Demonic torment takes many forms and can harm you in a number of ways – including emotionally. I incorporated a lot of that into the film itself.”

“It’s our best and scariest film to date… probably by far,” Ryan’s wife and co-producer Amy commented.

Executive Producer Sabine funded the film, impressed with the attention received by SDP’s prior project “The Girl in the Cornfield”.

“I consider myself a part of the team, and I see Ryan’s movies just getting progressively better. Even when working with little to nothing. I really enjoyed ‘The Girl in the Cornfield’ and when I saw the script for this movie, a sequel that is so much better than the first, I was excited about the possibilities. Some of it required a bit more money than they had for the original but I was willing to pitch in to get the movie made right. This one is different, very different, but I think it’s a fantastic sequel. And a great movie on it’s own.”

Actress Michelle Lulic, who plays big sister Adelaide, joined the cast fairly late in production when she was tapped to replace another actress due to scheduling conflicts. Michelle came in and shot and for roughly 3 and a half weeks straight to make up for the lost time.

“Where Demons Dwell was my first feature film and I couldn’t have asked for a better project to work on,” Michelle said. “I got to do a ton of the stereotypical “horror film” scenes, but that didn’t distract from the heart of the overall story. I had quite a few “pinch me” moments while on-set.”

More clips and details will be released as Friday the 13th nears. Keep an eye out for “Where Demons Dwell: The Girl in the Cornfield 2”.
