Hellboy’s Back!

Hellboy is back! All right, now this is what I’m talking about! After Revolution wussed out and dropped Hellboy 2 from its roster, the sequel has been floating around waiting for some kind soul generous enough to make a go of the sequel.

Finally, Variety announced that someone has shown some decency and taken the shivering franchise in from the cold and given it a hot bowl of soup: Universal. Really it only makes sense, as Universal made their name with creating monsters, and you can’t get more monsterific than a good Hellboy story most of the time.

The sequel is currently set to roll in Budapest and London this April. Previous comments by both director Guillermo del Toro and star Doug Jones indicate that this story will be far better than the original, which is saying quite a bit since the original kicks a lot of ass. Stay tuned for more!
