Movies On Demand Gets Appropriately Spooky for Halloween

The wondrous loonies (whom we adore, BTW) over at Movies On Demand just send over their Halloween schedule so you can use this time to plan accordingly! Dig it!

Movies On Demand on cable (MOD) has scared up a frightful collection of new and classic thrillers to keep cable audiences across the country in goose bumps this Halloween, including new release movies, some of the most revered horror franchises, whimsical kids’ content, and campy original holiday videos.*

STREAMING PUMPKIN AND MORE – free on cable and online
Once again MOD sets the mood with its exclusive Free On Demand (FOD) Jack-O-Lantern, a glowing pumpkin, set to appropriately creepy music. Adding to the fun this year are seven all-new scary and whimsical Halloween-themed videos. From now through Nov. 1, viewers will find them on major cable systems as well as online at Halloween Free Videos. From a haunted house, to animated ghosts and witches, or the playful Halloween creature wallpaper, most run for 45 minutes, making them the perfect backgrounds for a Halloween party.

Several new releases from the major studios make their television premieres on cable and anchor MOD’s 2016 Halloween presentations:

The Purge: Election Year (now playing) – Apropos for this election year, a horror movie based on a female candidate for president who is targeted by barbarous anarchists. Frank Grillo, Elizabeth Mitchell

Ghostbusters– (now playing) – From director Paul Feig, ‘Ghostbusters’ makes its long-awaited return starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

In The Conjuring 2, (now playing), evil spirits and demonic possession are no match for Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, as they head to London to help a single mother of four investigate paranormal activity in her home.

In The Darkness (now playing), an ancient supernatural force follows a family home from their Grand Canyon vacation. Starring Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell.

Lights Out – Premieres 10/25. A woman is haunted by a creature that only appears when the lights go out. Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman
