Two chunks of good news have come our way today via Ed over at Bloodtype Online, both of which involve some good old fashioned bloodshed.
While chatting with Toe Tag Pictures prez Fred Vogel, the site learned that their first non-August Underground outing, The Redsin Tower (review) has been accepted to play as part of this summer’s Fantasia Film Festival. For those not familiar with Fantasia, for shame; it’s only the biggest film festival in North America. We’ll be covering it again this year just like in years past, so look for more soon! And congrats to Vogel and crew on the honor; their film will be seen by the best film festival crowd in the world!
In other gory news, Bloodtype also got a chance to talk up Last House on the Left badass David Hess recently, who confirmed that he has been cast in Ruggero Deodato’s as-yet untitled companion piece to Cannibal Holocaust. The plot and script are still being kept secret, but he did reveal that the film would take place in the city instead of the jungle, but that’s about all we know about it as of now.
Keep an eye on Bloodtype Online for the full interview with David Hess, which should be up very soon!
