Hello again, friends. We’ve got a rather slow week, so I’m going to keep it short. Bear in mind that we have pretty much all well-stacked release lists coming up between now and Halloween, and new titles are getting added regularly.

There are 6 titles dropping this week, including the classic Evils of the Night. Keep checking back each week as next Tuesday jumps up to 20 releases and the week after that brings us 41.

As always, pleasant viewing.

While on a trip to Lovers’ Lane, 17-year-old Jami (Addison Timlin) watches as her date is brutally slain by a masked serial killer. Barely escaping with her life, she becomes obsessed with finding the man referred to as “The Phantom.” As the body count climbs and the carnage comes closer, Jami delves deeper into the mystery, following clues that point her toward the killer’s true identity. Nobody Gets Out Alive

In mourning, depressed and angry, Hunter disappears and is rumored to have moved away from Braiden Woods. As years go by, Hunter and his devastating story evolve into a myth, a myth that many consider to be just that, until a group of partying teenagers are brutally murdered one by one.

Shiver

Danielle Harris (Hatchet II & III) stars with Casper van Dien (Starship Troopers) and John Jarratt (Wolf Creek) in this savagely entertaining horror-thriller. The Gryphon is a serial killer with a flair for the dramatic — and a grisly trophy case of victims. But when he sets out to add shy, young secretary Wendy Alden (Harris) to his macabre collection, he gets more than he bargained for. Unfortunately, Wendy’s escape from his first assault only deepens the killer’s twisted obsession — and affection — for her. Always one step ahead of pursuing Detective Delgado (van Dien), the brilliant psychopath penetrates police lines at will, circling ever closer to the target of his deranged fantasies. Until, finally, the only thing standing between Wendy and the Gryphon’s unthinkable desires is her own desperate, indomitable will to survive.
