The Genetic Opera) and even turning a silly Troma film (Mother’s Day) into a super serious horror flick. What’s next? We’ve got all the details!
Just announced today, The Tension Experience: Ascension is Bousman’s latest project, and it’s essentially a horror movie that YOU are invited to star in. The immersive event, which opens on September 8th in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, looks to be the ultimate haunted attraction experience, lasting two hours and spanning 24 rooms.

The Tension Experience is a guided Illumination designed to prepare You for a new way to see this world. By design, those who choose this Journey can be assured that they will never be quite sure where the events will go, when they will start and stop and, often, what the true motivation behind them actually is.
The direction, writing, special effects and production design come from the film industry’s top talent who feel that now is the time to revolutionize what interactive entertainment can be. This is more than a haunt and more than immersive theater; participants will feel as though they are inside of a genre movie that has vividly come to life all around them.
