Affleck Wants Some Misty?

Back in 1971, Clint Eastwood decided to stop playing a cowboy for a while and got on the other side of the camera to direct a film that surprised a lot of people both in and out of Hollywood; the low key creep-fest Play Misty For Me. Eastwood played a DJ who is stalked by a maniacal fan who gets turned on by the song “Misty”, and now another surprising candidate is in talking about remaking it.

Ben Affleck, according to Dark Horizons, has been rumored to be circling a redux of Eastwood’s creepy chiller, at least as a producer and possibly as director. Jason (Lucky Number Slevin) Smilovic has been said to be penning the remake, though it’s not know if Affleck would also star, as well.

Ben’s directorial debut, Gone, Baby, Gone, has been getting positive feedback from the few who’ve seen it so far, but then I don’t believe the movie’s been screened in its entirety as of yet so who knows. We’ll be keeping our ears open for more!
