Hellgate: London Getting a VR Sequel

Remember Hellgate: London? Yeah, I know the general consensus was that the 2007 game sucked (we gave it a sordid review back in the day), and despite several attempts to relaunch new and improved versions, you simply can’t polish a turd.
But despite its negative reception, it’s getting a sequel, courtesy of developer Hanbit Soft, creatively titled Hellgate VR. It was recently announced at a PlayStation conference in South Korea and will be a prequel focusing on a young girl named Jessica as she struggles to survive in a literal Hell on Earth.
Aside from that and this brief gameplay video, we don’t know much about it yet, other than that it will have a hard time being worse than its predecessor. We’ll try to keep an open mind as we await more details of Hellgate VR.
