Our excitement about NBC giving “Grimm” a renewal for a sixth season was cut a bit short by the news that it could be an abbreviated run… per Deadline, the renewal is for just 13 episodes, not the show’s customary 22.

While the order is a disappointment, it’s not a fixed number; and the series could very well be extended when it’s all said and done.  It will likely depend on when it debuts and how many episodes can run in a row based on NBC’s schedule.

Stay tuned for more info as it comes, and in the meantime here’s a look at what’s ahead later this week in Episode 5.19, “The Taming of the Wu.”

“Grimm” Episode 5.19 – “The Taming of the Wu” (airs 4/29/16)
BLACK CLAW CLOSES IN AS WU’S PRIMAL INSTINCTS TAKE CENTER STAGE – Suffering from the bite he sustained, Sgt.
