Know how you can tell when a movie is a classic? When decades after its release, we’re still talking about it as if it were new. Such is the case with this ultra-rare deleted scene from Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street.

The scene, originally available as part of Elite Entertainment’s A Nightmare on Elm Street Collector’s Edition Laserdisc, is part of a bevy of deleted scenes that have since been lost despite being released countless times on Blu-ray and DVD over the years. Thanks to the wonders of the Interwebs, you can now dig it right here for mass consumption.

For perspective’s sake… the scene comes at the tail end of the moment when Nancy’s mom explains who Freddy is and how the parents of the murdered children got together to burn him alive. In the final cut of the movie the scene cuts away before the following revelation that Nancy had a sibling who fell victim to the then budding dream demon.
