Whisperer Next for HPLHS?

For those of you who were smart enough to seek out the silent and highly praised Lovecraft-inspired Call of Cthulhu (review), there’s some good news to be had if you head on over to the official site for the makers of the film.

A reader named, oddly enough, “American Werewolf”, dropped us a line with a heads up that on the front page of H.P. Lovecraft Historical Societies’ site it states simply, “Writing, sketching, designing, scouting: HPLHS is in pre-production for our next film: The Whisperer in Darkness.” Great news for Lovecraft fans who enjoyed the approach the group took to Cthulhu, which seems to be pretty much all of them.

Said scooper also mentioned that an interview with the group from a while back stated that their new film would also be silent, but we’re not able to verify that one way or another yet. It sure worked out well for them with the first so I don’t see why they wouldn’t do it again.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Lovecraft story “Whisperer in Darkness,” be sure to click here to give it a read!
