Horrorfest ’07 Corrected Dates

Seems that someone over at After Dark Films finally saw the logic in waiting on getting the second annual Horrorfest in theaters after Halloween, pushing the new fest from the originally (and possibly erroneously) announced October 19th to November 9th-11th, which certainly makes a helluva lot more sense. Ads all over the New York Comic Con last weekend stated the same, so thank God there’ll be something to do when Halloween is over this year.

Check out the official Horrorfest site for a new trailer that prominently features Black Betty, the winner of last year’s Miss Horrorfest competition, giving teases about After Dark’s plans for Horrorfest 2007, which include “going global”, all access passes, a screenwriting competition, and a short film competition, the winner of which will see his or her short played in theaters and may get a contract with After Dark Films.

Though Betty’s got a good set of lungs on her (ahem), her delivery is a tad over the top and adds a layer of cheese to the Horrorfest proceedings that didn’t exist when it was just the cool-ass graphic and the camera sounds. Hopefully that will smooth out in time and not continue to fly over the top.

Hit the Horrorfest site here, and don’t forget that 7 of the 8 films to die for hit DVD on March 27th!
