I know you’ve been dying for more info on Lake Placid 2 since it was revealed a few days ago that Boa Vs. Python helmer Dave Flores was behind it. Fear not, gentle readers, as Moviehole tracked down the man and squeezed not only some official information from him but also a stack of stills from the sequel!
Set to premiere on the Sci-Fi Channel before its DVD release from Fox Home Entertainment, Lake Placid 2 takes place 7 years after the events of the first film; all the baby crocodiles have grown up and the small town of Lake Placid is facing a whole new set of problems.
Cloris Leachman was previously announced; her character is named Sadie Bickerman, a relative of some sort to Betty White’s character (Dolores Bickerman) from the first film, so at least they’re keeping that connection going. Grown-up crocodiles means there will be a lot more; I just hope they don’t rely on CG to bring ‘em all to life!
