Synopsis Revealed for The Vampire Diaries Episode 7.05 – Live Through This

When The CW released the synopses of its shows for the week of November 2nd, Episode 7.05 of “The Vampire Diaries,” entitled “Live Through This,” was conspicuously absent, no doubt in an effort to avoid some major spoilers.  Well, it’s here now so avert your eyes if you’d rather watch it without knowing anything; the rest of you can read on!

“The Vampire Diaries” Episode 7.05 – “Live Through This” (11/5/15; 8:00-9:00 pm)
A NEW THREAT ON THE HORIZON — After realizing the downward spiral he was on, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) decides he’s going to turn over a new leaf and that his actions moving forward will do right by Elena. Lily (guest star Annie Wersching) prepares for the arrival of a special figure from her past, while Enzo (Michael Malarkey) stands by not sure what to expect.

Elsewhere, at Caroline’s (Candice King) urging, Stefan (Paul Wesley) comes face-to-face with Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) and learns some upsetting details about her past, while Enzo and Bonnie (Kat Graham) find themselves at odds when they’re forced to fend off a violent threat.

Finally, when Bonnie learns some disturbing information involving the Phoenix stone, she is forced to confront Alaric (Matt Davis). Kellie Cyrus directed the episode written by Rebecca Sonnenshine.

Trailer: Alex Aja’s Campfire Creepers Starring Robert Englund

Later this month we will finally see the release of director Alexandre Aja’s original VR anthology series Campfire Creepers starring Robert Englund and inspired by cult classics like Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt.

The first two episodes, “The Skull of Sam” and “Midnight March,” premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this Friday before hitting Samsung Gear and Oculus Rift April 27.

The VR series is directed by Alexandre Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes), who created the project alongside Casey Cooper Johnson and Martin Andersen. Oculus, Future Lighthouse, and Dark Corner produce.

The first two episodes hit Samsung Gear and Oculus Rift via Dark Corner April 27.

Synopsis:

An original anthology series that brings classic campfire stories to life in stunning Virtual Reality, Campfire Creepers invites viewers to join the fire circle at a summer camp called Camp Coyote as a group of kids take turns telling spooky tales. Inspired by cult classics like Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt, every episode of Campfire Creepers is a wild ride that will have you laughing and screaming in equal measure.

Grindhouse’s Planet Terror Score Hits Vinyl

Grindhouse’s Planet Terror soundtrack hits on vinyl for the first time this Saturday via Varese Sarabande. The LP is pressed on opaque white vinyl and limited to 2,000 copies.

Rose McGowan sings on three tracks exclusive to this soundtrack with the majority of the score composed by Robert Rodriguez with contributions from Graeme Revell, (The Crow, Sin City), Chingon and Nouvelle Vague.

The film was written and directed by Robert Rodriguez and starred Rose McGowan, Freddy Rodríguez, Josh Brolin, Marley Shelton, Jeff Fahey, Michael Biehn, Naveen Andrews, Nicky Katt, Tom Savini, Michael Parks, and Bruce Willis.

The score will be hitting vinyl for the first time ever on Record Store Day April 21.

Synopsis:

An ordinary evening in a small Texas town becomes a grisly nightmare when a horde of flesh-eating zombies goes on the prowl. Cherry (Rose McGowan), a go-go dancer, and Wray (Freddy Rodriguez), her ex-lover, band together with other survivors in a no-holds-barred effort to escape the carnage. The odds become a bit more even when Cherry, who lost her leg to a hungry ghoul, gets a machine-gun appendage and lets the bullets fly.
