**Update: The boys over at Fangoria have confirmed the casting news!**
Even though filming on Midnight Meat Train, Ryuhei Kitmura’s adaptation of the short story by Clive Barker, is set to begin in the next few weeks, the casing news has been slow since Bradley Cooper was announced to star.
This weekend, though, we got some good news from someone close to the production who asked to remain anonymous. We’ve learned that both Vinnie Jones (pictured, Snatch) and Brooke Shields (Freaked) are ready to sign on for Midnight Meat Train.
Jones will play Mahogany, the killer Cooper’s character, Leon Kauffman, encounters on the train that leads him into the twisted underworld of New York City. Shields is jumping on the train as an art dealer, a character not in the original story but who will be very pivotal in the film.
Obviously until an official announcement is made, we can’t be 100% sure on either casting choice, but our source has never let us down before! We’ll have more for you on Midnight Meat Train as production ramps up so keep it here!
