New Eyes Screenings

The folks at Rue Morgue must be very proud of their former editor-in-chief, Rodrigo Gudino. His first short film, The Eyes of Edward James, has been getting positive attention left and right since its premiere at the Toronto International Festival and for good reason. Click the link above for my review.

Today we received word that the short has been accepted to three more festivals around the U.S. and Canada, The Tromadance Film Fest in Park City, UT (more info here); the Boston Underground Film Festival (info here); the Nevermore Film Festival in Durham, North Carolina (more here); and the University of Toronto Film Festival (click for details). I’m sure it’s going to do well at all three because it’s very unique, old school horror story told in an inventive way.

We’ve also learned that Rodrigo is wrapping up word on the second short for Rue Morgue Cinema as we speak, so expect to hear more about that very soon!
