With fan-favorite classics like Child’s Play and Fright Night under his belt, Tom Holland is unquestionably one of the great masters of horror. It’s been nearly two decades since Holland has directed a feature film, and he soon may be making his return to the world of vampires.

Spanish website Aullidos is reporting today that Holland has joined forces with Juan de Dios Garduño (Extinction) to direct Fresh Blood, a film that tells the story of a group of teenage vampires who kidnap a bus driver and his daughter to attend a concert.

According to the site, Holland, Garduño, and Fernando Martin Samper are currently working on the screenplay, and they say the film will have an 80s-inspired style reminiscent of vampire movies like The Lost Boys and Fright Night.

Something seemed a little fishy about this one so we reached out to Tom Holland to clarify the rumor, and he revealed to us that no deals have been finalized.

I just started talking with them so the article is premature,” Holland told us. “It is possible this will come together.”

While we wait for more information, check out the upcoming film’s poster art below.
