The Curse of Downers Grove Hexes You in September

Some quick distro news from Deadline has come our way as the site reports that Anchor Bay’s teen angst thriller The Curse of Downers Grove, is officially getting a release. Read on for the 411.
Bella Heathcote, Lucas Till, Penelope Mitchell, Tom Arnold, and Kevin Zegers star. Directed by Derick Martini from a script co-written by Martini and Bret Easton Ellis, the film is produced by Oren Segal, Chiara Trento, and Jason Dubin.
The film will hit theaters August 21, 2015, followed by the Blu-ray/DVD release on September 1st.
The film is based on the novel by Michael Hornburg and purports to be inspired by true events.
Synopsis:
Downers Grove, IL, high school senior Chrissie Swanson is trying to evade an apparent curse that causes one teen to die a gruesome death at the end of every school year.
