I’ve done this long enough; you’d think I’d have a better filter as to what is “news” and what is not. Going forward I’m just going to assume anything to do with Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake is a hot item.
Over the last few days, Rob’s been updating the official Halloween MySpace page with some behind the scenes info on the film. He confirmed that he is, indeed, working on a making-of featurette comparable to the Devil’s Rejects one featured on the DVD. In other words, it’s gonna be huge.
Additionally, he posted that effects man Wayne Toth, who previously worked with the director on his first two features, has turned his sculpt of the Myers mask and, as Rob says, “It looks perfect. Exactly like the original. Not since 1978 has the shape looked so good. Wayne worked this sucker to death and boy did it pay off.”
It’s too bad the guy behind it will be so freakin’ HUGE, but we’ll have to wait and see just how it all comes out in the end.
Hope this kicks as much ass as it should in our forums!
