Juan Carlos Fresnadillo Gets X-ray Eyes

Who here remembers Roger Corman’s classic X: The Man With the X-Ray Eyes? Anyone? If you do, you’re either an uber-fan like me or well on your way to (or past) middle age. In any event the film is up next for the old remake treatment with a great name attached to direct.

Variety reports tonight that Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, a name you may know from his stellar direction on 28 Weeks Later, has made a deal with MGM to develop a film based on director Roger Corman’s 1963 popcorn flick.

The original starred Ray Milland as a scientist who has a near breakthrough in X-ray vision technology when his funding is cut off. So what’s a guy to do when he’s got no more cash? Experiment on himself of course. Dig on the trailer for the original flick below, and keep it here for more as it comes.
