The filmmakers behind the new indie flick called House of Black Wings (love that title) just dropped a line to us with the word that principal photography just wrapped on the movie, which they’re calling “a character-driven Lovecraftian ghost story”. All right, I’m interested…
Directed by David Schmidt, the story is about a girl named Kate Stone (Leah Myette), who is forced to return to her hometown after a tragic act of violence cuts her music career short. She takes shelter with her one remaining friend and together they begin to restore an aging courtyard apartment building. But there are some horrible secrets that lie in wait inside the structure, the building itself the home to unspeakable evils that Kate will soon have to confront head-on.
Character-driven indie films tend to be very cut and dry; they either work or they don’t; most often than not that’s based on the actors chosen for the lead roles. The plot itself sounds interesting and sinister enough to pique my interest, I just hope the thespians chosen to react to the horrors around them are up to snuff.

Wish you could come up with a title that spooky in our forums!
