It was way back in July of 2008 that we first told you about the latest indie horror film from first time feature director Ric La Monte, The Tenant starring Michael Berryman, J. LaRose, Bill Cobbs and Randy Molnar and now we finally have a trailer to get excited about.

The trailer for Kevin MacDonald's Beg has gone live, and of course we have a look at it for ya! The film sports quite an impressive horror-centric cast so let's hope the end product turn out as good as the trailer.

We've had it with Hollywood and their remakes. Thankfully, so have a lot of indie filmmakers out there, which means there are plenty of great titles that are coming out of nowhere.

Today we received word on a new horror film coming our way called The Tenant. Michael Berryman, J. LaRose, Bill Cobbs and Randy Molnar star in the film, which was directed by newbie Ric La Monte.

We just got word in that SFX legend Tom Savini will be directing a flick called Voracious. The cast is said to be populated by familiar horror faces Tiffany Shepis, Debbie Rochon and Michael Berryman (who is currently unsigned but in talks).

I’m sure it’s got to be hard to follow up a film with a title, not to mention a premise, like Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter. But filmmaker Lee Demarbe is a trooper and stuck to his guns, and the result is Smash Cut, a rather dully-titled (in comparison, at least) horror romp about a movie director loosing his mind.

I just arrived back home from the third annual Rue Morgue Festival of Fear minutes ago. After enduring a hellacious Labor Day traffic jam, I’d love nothing more than to kick back with a beer and watch some DVDs acquired during the fest. But due to the lack of Internet connection in my Toronto digs and a resultant inability to update coverage over the weekend, the festival stories are already fading, so let me try and get some of it down while the memories are still warm and twitching...
