Dead by Daylight Lights Out Happening Now

Dead by Daylight has long been the champion of the asymmetrical multiplayer horror landscape. It is constantly updated every few months, and we get new survivors and killers. It has managed to keep itself incredibly fresh for the past eight years. Just recently, Alan Wake and company were added to the game. There is no end in sight for how far Dead By Daylight can soar.

Darkness Enshroudes All

But, for those of you who look at Dead By Daylight and don’t want to get into all the skills and learn the meta, that is understandable. With almost eight years, it’s a lot to discover. Today, Behaviour Interactive has just launched the Lights Out event for a limited time from February 7th to the 14th. This event looks to almost reset every meta and ratchet up what brought us to Dead By Daylight in the first place. Horror.
Promising maps shrouded in darkness, no survivor or killer perks, no terror radius (how survivors locate killers’ proximity), and no scratch marks (how killers locate players).

This is going to change the way the game is played for the next week. I hope it’s something they implement full-time. As it’s an excellent way for newer players to learn the game before diving into eight years of characters and perks. This is also going to help long-time players get a fresh outlook on their Dead By Daylight skillset.

Micheal Neilson, Dead By Daylights Game Design Team Lead, had this to say about the new event.”With Lights Out, we really wanted to ratchet up the horror and tension that’s at the core of our game. Our goal was to make Trials even more immersive and terrifying. There’s going to be lots of surprises as you never know what’s coming around the next corner!”

Dead By Daylight keeps bringing their A game with events and characters. I, for one, can’t wait to hop into the Lights Out event on February 7th-February 14th.
