Jason Horton's Monsters in the Woods is heading home on DVD in February courtesy of Osiris Entertainment, and we have a peek at the cover art to share along with a few more details on the flick's VOD release this month in the US and Canada.

Just in time for the upcoming American Film Market, Osiris Entertainment has completed a new poster for Jason Horton's Monsters in the Woods, and of course we have a look at it for you right here! We must say it's light years better than the last one.

It's been about a year since we've gotten an update on Jason Horton's Monsters in the Woods, but today the writer/director dropped us a line to let us know the film has landed a distributor and gotten itself a new poster and trailer. He also provided a couple of new stills for us to share.

One film that's been on our radar for quite some time is Gregory Lamberson's Slime City Massacre so we're glad to report it now has official distribution. Media Blasters has acquired the North American rights to the film and will release it on DVD, VOD, and Blu-ray in 2011. From the Press Release:

A second trailer has popped up online for Brian Corder's Carnies, starring genre favs Reggie Bannister and Doug Jones, and we've got a look at the goods for you! Dig it! R Squared Films is giving Carnies an official release throughout San Francisco with tentative dates being planned for the Los Angeles area. Look for it on DVD on October 12th, 2010!

Those who are craving a new creature feature are in luck as Jason Horton's Monsters in the Woods is in its final week of production with post expected to be complete before November, which means we should be seeing the final product in film fests relatively soon. You see? This is reason #89 while I will always remain a damned city boy. No matter how you slice it there is stuff happening deep within the woods that I want absolutely no part of! From inbred mutants to well, yes, monsters, you just never know what is gonna smack you in the face (thereby tearing it off and sending it sailing through the air) next.
