We've been on the fence as far as covering the wildly popular "Game of Thrones", just mentioning the show here and there as it's seemed appropriate, but this latest news to cross our desk is just too cool to ignore: Dark Horse Deluxe is partnering with HBO on a vast "Game of Thrones" product line debuting in the spring of 2012, leading up to the show’s second season premiere in April. MonsterPants, the New York-based, do-it-yourself non-studio that brought us such films as Automatons, Satan Hates You, and the upcoming Hypothermia from Glass Eye Pix and Dark Sky Films, is going beyond movies and comics with a new line of handmade limited-run toys and apparel by writer/director/artist James Felix McKenney. Get your credit cards out, kids, because this stuff is very cool!
It's not expected to be available until the second quarter of 2012, but if you're at all a fan of Bigfoot, you'll want to check out (and pre-order) Sideshow Collectibles' newest offering in their Sideshow Originals series, the Bigfoot statue. Consumer Products to bring 1/4-scale mixed media statues of characters from the most brutal fighting game of all time, the legendary Mortal Kombat, to die-hard collectors’ homes this year, and we've got a look at the first one for Scorpion right here.
One of the key components of Comic-Con is all the cool exclusive items you can only find there.
