Earlier today, Stephen Chiodo revealed why SYFY’s long-awaited sequel to their cult-classic horror-comedy Killer Klowns from Outer Space never happened. That bummed us out – so how about signing a petition to bring the sequel to life?

In a recent conversation with Slasher Radio, Stephen Chiodo (director of the original KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE) of The Chiodo Brothers boasted about all these ideas for a sequel and attempts at reviving the title with a sequel. After over 3 decades of attempts and countless movie, TV and even VR video game deals being made then falling apart, this project continues to die on the desk of MGM Studios due to low box office sales from the 80’s, completely disregarding the insane amount of public admiration and this being the pure definition of a true CULT CLASSIC.
How many remakes have we seen handed over to a new team for a cash grab that ruins the integrity of the franchise/original? We have an opportunity to have the ORIGINAL creator head the ship of his own passion project and continue his original vision without having to worry about the authenticity being thrown aside! Let’s show MGM they’re WRONG and us TURE HORROR FANS take care of and support our own!
Killer Klowns from Outer Space is about a clan of evil aliens from an unknown region, who all resemble clowns. They arrive on Earth and invade a small town in order to capture, kill, and harvest the human inhabitants to use as sustenance.
The killer cult classic sports a fresh 75% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus: Killer Klowns from Outer Space’s title promises darkly goofy fun. And more often than not, the movie delivers.
