Trailer: David Bruckner’s New Nightmare THE NIGHT HOUSE Hits Theaters 7/16

Director David Bruckner’s The Night House with Rebecca Hall (The Awakening) will hit theaters on July 16th. And today we have the trailer and also the poster.

Give them a look-see below!

Reeling from the unexpected death of her husband, Beth (Rebecca Hall) is left alone in the lakeside home he built for her. She tries as best she can to keep it together – but then nightmares come. Disturbing visions of a presence in the house calling to her, beckoning her with a ghostly allure. Against the advice of her friends, she begins digging into her husband’s belongings, yearning for answers. What she finds are secrets both strange and disturbing – a mystery she’s determined to unravel.

Rebecca Hall (Holmes & Watson, Christine) stars along with Sarah Goldberg (Barry, Elementary), Vondie Curtis Hall (Die Hard 2, Eve’s Bayou), Evan Jonigkeit (Togetherish, Sweetbitter), and also Stacy Martin (Vox Lux, Nymphomaniac).

The MPPA has slapped the flick with an R-rating for “some violence/disturbing images, and language including some sexual references.” Sounds good to us!

Hall says: “I suppose I do late-night anxiety well. I found it generally frightening to read. I felt very alongside the character when I was reading it and made me want to start acting it out.”
