The World is Over! 2012 Review is Now Live! Those Pesky Mayans!

Sometimes when you think about all the chaos in the world today, you can't help but feel that maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't be such a bad idea for nature to flip the switch on us and reboot our existence. Of course Platinum Dunes would then take this idea and make a grittier reboot in about a decade from now. We just can't win, I tell ya!

Five Hilariously Disaster-ffic Minutes of 2012

I'm no fan of Roland Emmerich. With that said, his upcoming be-all, end-all disaster epic 2012 (opening November 12th) is currently tops on my list of most anticipated movies of the latter half of this year. Every trailer hypes 2012 as this terrifying end-of-the-world disaster thriller playing off real-life fears of what may lie ahead for us all in 2012, and then you watch this clip from the film and I defy you not to laugh.

Destruction Filled Japanese 2012 Trailer

While we all are eagerly anticipating the end of the world in 2012, we can start dying vicariously through this new Japanese trailer for disaster-king (this looks good, but we're not ready yet to forgive you for what you did to Godzilla) Roland Emmerich.

Igor Coming Home This January

It didn’t do any kind of business to speak of at the box office, so I guess it’s not surprising that MGM isn’t dumping a lot of effort into the DVD release of Igor. MGM announced today that the disc will be out on January 20th and won’t have a helluva lot on it.

Exclusive Igor Clip!

Igor is out in theaters right now, and hopefully you guys have read our review and will be getting out to see it this weekend. To encourage you even further, we managed to procure an exclusive clip which showcases the sense of humor of both the movie and its creators.

Video Dread Exclusive: Igor Writer & Director

A few weeks back myself and some of the East Coast Dread crew, including Nomad and the fantastic Heather Buckley, hit up the New York Comic Con to get our horror mugs filled to the brim with info. A lot of video came out of it, most of which features Heather chatting up horror celebs and asking some damn fine questions, but today we’re showing off our first finished piece: a chat with the writer and director of the upcoming animated film Igor!

Switch Thrown on Igor Trailer

Striving to be more than just the little man who pulls the switch for the great inventor, Igor is setting out on his own to become a mad scientist in his own right. All that stands in his way are prejudices and another evil genius.

Igor Invents a One Sheet

Today, thanks to IMP Awards, we got a chance to look at the first official one sheet for the upcoming CGI film Igor. Anthony Leondis may not have a lot of directorial experience with animated films, but I've got faith that the wealth of material available for him to draw from will be put to good use.
