There’s a distinct chill in the Los Angeles air, or at least the Summer heat wave has finally mercifully subsided, and fallen leaves dot the sidewalks on Hollywood Boulevard. That can only mean one thing: it’s Halloween season in SoCal. Once again, it’s time for ghosts and ghouls to come out to play in the City of Angels, and for Griffith Park to transform into the site of the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride

Presented by Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, the Haunted Hayride takes guests to Midnight Falls, a quaint 1980s town gathering together for their annual Halloween festival. They’ve pulled out all the stops, including a hayride, candy apples, hot dogs on a stick, live music, and three mazes! There’s only one catch: they’re all filled with the restless spirits of the undead, conjured by the Witch of the Woods to mingle with the living and scare the pants off of them. The experience includes the town square, home to the colorful, rotting citizens of Midnight Falls, Monte Revolta and his Band of the Living Dead, the Haunted Hayride itself, and three distinct mazes: The Midnight Mortuary, the Laughterhouse, and Trick or Treat.

In Midnight Falls, small-town kitsch meets simple but effective scares and a genuine love for the Spirit of Halloween that nothing, not even death, can stop.
