George A. Romero
Exclusive Survival of the Dead Commentary Track with Uncle Creepy and George A. Romero Now Available on BD Live!
For those not playing along, our own Uncle Creepy has done several commentary tracks for movies, but for whatever reason his work has often been shelved. He refers to this as the Creepy Commentary Curse™, but right now, at least for BD Live users who bought Survival of the Dead on Blu-Ray, the curse has been broken!

To celebrate, we figured we may as well give away a couple of copies so fans can see their old Uncle Creepy go to work on the living in the most brutal way imaginable!

Continuing their love affair with all things horror (we totally approve, by the way) the cats over at the "Cinema Cool Show" recently sat down with the maestro himself, George A. Romero, to talk his special brand of zombie flicks starting from Night of the Living Dead all the way up to his latest release, Survival of the Dead.
If there is one man who created an entire subgenre for horror fans, it is the legendary George A. Romero. Once his zombies started shambling onto the screen, all the rules of the living dead changed.

There are icons of horror. There are even masters of horror. Then there’s George A. Romero. The legendary director changed the landscape of the horror genre single-handedly by infusing social messages with a terrifying exploration of human (and inhuman) nature in his 1968 landmark independent horror classic, Night of the Living Dead.
In the LA area next Tuesday, May 11th, and looking for a little zombie mayhem to take part in? Then look no further as that's the date that the next chapter in George A. Romero's epic franchise, Survival of the Dead, will be having its premiere at the Arclight in Hollywood with George in attendance! Even better? Of all the things I've been lucky enough to do and accomplish in my career working within the horror industry, the one I am most grateful for was the opportunity to not only meet but befriend a true living legend in our industry ... George A. Romero. Simply put, the man is my idol, and even though we've grown close, I still get the butterflies every now and then. It was in September of last year that the phone call came.
Now this is pretty damned cool. Magnet Releasing commissioned Charlie Adlard, illustrator of Robert Kirkman's zombie comic epic The Walking Dead, to create his own unique version of the one-sheet for George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead and the results are -- of course -- badass.
We always knew it was only a matter of time before Hollywood, which has yet to meet a remake it doesn't like, turned its eyes toward George A. Romero's sole vampire tale, Martin, and apparent that time is now.
The fifth and sixth clips for George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead (reviews here and here) are here and in one of them you are urged to stash the kids while you can lest they be dealt with in the harshest of manners possible. Screw sparing the rod!
That's right, ghouls! Get yourselves ready because starting tomorrow the latest entry in George A. Romero's legendary zombie series will be making its debut in the comfort of your own home before hitting the big screen, and to celebrate we've got three exclusive stills for you!
