Ti West is dusting off his director’s chair and getting cameras rolling on the sequel to Eli Roth’s breakout hit, Cabin Fever, craftily title Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, and yesterday the B-D boys (well, girl to be specific) got the first word on casting for it.
Larry Fessenden, indie filmmaker extraordinaire and a new king of quick cameos, told a B-D reporter that he would be dying a very nasty death in West’s sequel, though he said he will only have a brief cameo. Joining in a bigger capacity, however, is Alexi Wasser, whose previous credits include Factory Girl and Art School Confidential, as the sexy high school senior Cassie. Some casting calls out on the ‘net have mentioned that both Rider Strong and Giuseppe Andrews will be returning for the second film, though I have to say I’m not entirely sure how…
We’re still not clear on what the sequel will be about, but since it’s been subtitled (for now) Spring Fever, might we venture to guess it’s about more morons treading where they shouldn’t and pissing off the wrong locals? Early details stated that West’s take on the sequel would not be a retread of the first, so maybe it’s safe to assume we’re looking at something very different.
