The news hounds over at Davis DVD have acquired the final specs for Lionsgate’s December 26th DVD release of Neil Marshall’s fantastic horror film The Descent, and I have to say they’re not too shabby.
Two versions will be available: a 99-minute “uncut” and 98-minute theatrical version, the latter of which will only be out in fullscreen (for all you posers out there). Features on both will include a commentary by director Neil Marshall and crew and another with Marshall and cast, some deleted and extended scenes, outtakes, a documentary on the making of the movie, an interview with Marshall, storyboard-to-scene comparisons, and some trailers.
Like I said; not too shabby. I’m honestly not sure what the differences are between this release and the UK one, which has been out for well over a year now, but suffice it to say Lionsgate is doing a good job loading ours with goodies. The Blu-Ray edition of the film will also be out the same day, for those of you who have jumped on that train.
