Widely regarded as the worst film ever made, the Ed Wood classic Plan 9 from Outer Space is on its way to Blu-ray so you can see all those cardboard sets come to life in glorious 1080p!

There was only one Ed Wood. To call the man different is a bit of an understatement. One thing is for sure though ... for better or worse, Ed has become a legend, and a new box set is on the way that celebrates the very best (and worst) from the world's most infamous filmmaker. San Diego-based 3D production and conversion studio PassmoreLab has some big plans. The company is about to take the Ed Wood, Jr. zombie "classic" Plan 9 From Outer Space, which was colorized a couple of years ago, and convert it to 3D. We don't know whether to laugh, cry, or consider this the most awesome undertaking in the world. Be sure to sound off in our comments section.

Here I thought this whole colorization thing had more or less died out in the Eighties. Guess not. I'm with most people in thinking that if a movie was made in black & white, then it ought to be viewed in black & white. Besides, something about the colorization process has just never looked right to me. Don't tell that to Legend Films; restoring and colorizing black & white movies is their bread & butter.
