CHEAP THRILLS’ David Koechner Filming Some VICIOUS FUN

Well, it looks like Cheap Thrills and Krampus star David Koechner is headed back to our beloved genre with an all-new horror-thriller called Vicious Fun from director Cody Calahan.
This news comes to us from The Hollywood Reporter who says the film is currently shooting.
Koechner ‘s costars include Julian Richings (Urban Legend), Evan Marsh (Shazam!), Amber Goldfarb (Helix), Robert Maillet (Sherlock Holmes), and Ari Millen (Orphan Black).
Black Fawn Films and Breakthrough Entertainment are behind the upcoming indie horror-thriller which Chad Archibald (The Heretics, The Drownsman, Antisocial) is producing.

Meanwhile, Koechner’s best known around these parts for co-starring in director E.L. Katz’s crazy horror-ish dark comedy Cheap Thrills with Pat Healy, Sara Paxton, and Ethan Embry, which centers on a series of escalating bets see recently reunited friends go head-to-head, with challenges that go further than either of them expected.
The film has become a killer cult classic and currently sports an 88% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: “Gleefully nasty and darkly hilarious, Cheap Thrills lives down to its title in the best possible way.”
Here’s hoping this new horror-thriller manages to snag even a bit of that film’s ferocious fun. And with a title like Vicious Fun, I can only imagine it will try its best. Can’t wait to find out!
