If you're anything like me, the one remake you've been frothing at the mouth to see is Stephen R. Monroe's I Spit on Your Grave. None of you are, though, which is why Howling II goes overlooked and remains underrated. Jerks. Nevertheless, the 2010 remake of Meir Zarchi's rape/revenge classic is almost upon us, and Dark Delicacies is ushering it in with some real style.

Have you ever wanted to have your artwork published in a comic book? Now is your chance as Radical Publishing has announced a new contest to test your illustration skills. Simply draw your best version of the villainous Jebediah Crone based on a scene from Radical’s newest horror miniseries, Abattoir, created by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Rob Levin and Troy Peteri.

On Friday, September 17th, at Dark Delicacies Bookstore, meet Frozen stars Shawn Ashmore and Kevin Zegers, writer/director Adam Green, along with some other cast and crew from that film as well as Green's popular slasher flick Hatchet.

According to Buz's Predators review (click here), the film's score more than lives up to its predecessors and composer John Debney "gets" it. This Saturday, July 10th, if you're in or around Burbank, CA, you have the chance to meet the man at a CD and poster signing to be held at Dark Delicacies.

One of the most insane directors working on the indie side of the genre nowadays is undoubtedly Chad Ferrin, and on June 5th those of you in and around the Burbank area will have a chance to meet the madman himself along with the stars of his two films Someone's Knocking at the Door and Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! at a DVD signing to be held at Dark Delicacies.

One of the most rewarding feelings in the world came for the makers of Never Sleep Again this past weekend when the entire crew gathered with many stars from the franchise to celebrate the mega-documentary's release. The faces of the fans who showed up totally excited and happy to get their claws into some real Freddy Krueger mayhem after their experiences with the remake made every single *ahem* sleepless night helping to put this thing together all the more worth it.

If you're anywhere near the LA area this weekend and are a fan of the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, believe us when we tell you that the first and only thing you're going to want to do this Saturday is head on over to Dark Delicacies to attend the most massive Elm Street reunion and signing you'll ever witness!

I gotta say Dave Parker's The Hills Run Red having watched it a second time is really starting to grow on me. Trick 'r Treat, on the other hand, knocked me flat from the first frame, and I'm already planning to curl up with the Blu-ray again.
