Kickstart Productions, the company behind the Sam Mendes-directed Preacher adaptation, has teamed up with Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray to publish their newest comic idea entitled Splatterman. This will be Kickstart’s second publishing endeavor with Palmiotti and just the first among many upcoming comic books that they will release under their Kickstart Comics Inc. banner over the next 18 months.

Now that "The Shield" has finished up its run on FX, star Michael Chiklis is spreading his wings and entering the graphic novel realm. Chiklis’ company, Extravaganza Productions, has signed a deal with IDW Publishing to develop a graphic novel series, Olympus, based on an original idea by Anny Simon Beck (a Los Angeles writer and director).
