Variety reported today that Gary Ross (Pleasantville, Seabiscuit) is following up his rewrite of Spider-Man 4 with writing-directing duties on a solo spin-off movie based on the Marvel villain Venom that got shoehorned quite awkwardly into Spider-Man 3. I ask this in all honesty: Does anyone care about a Venom movie?

Finally, the popular kids horror series Goosebumps is making its way to the big screen. The hopes and prayers of thousands of kids (who are probably far too old to care now) have been answered. I wonder if it’s too late?

Fleischer Prepares Zombieland
Nothing like getting your start directing films with a zombie comedy! Such is the case for Ruben Fleischer (pictured), who Variety reported this morning is in talks to helm Zombieland, a comedy for Columbia Pictures and producer Gavin Polone (Primeval).
