Not long ago we brought you images of NECA's 7" version of the very first adult xenomorph seen in Alien. Back then we mentioned that the toy company was in the works of bringing to us a large scale 18" version; it showed up today!
Yesterday it was Hellsing, and today Organic Hobby sent us word that a new statue based on Uno Makoto's manga version of Top Cow character Witchblade will be released in July. The sexy badass stands 8" tall with two different versions of her blade and a custom base. She'll retail for $50.
The xenomorph from Ridley Scott's Alien has seen many incarnations throughout the years from several toymakers. Some have been good, some OK, but none really did justice to H.R. Giger's killing machine.
Kouta Hirano's Hellsing is a unique bit of horror manga. The story takes place in the same world as Bram Stoker's Dracula but throws in bits of H.P. Lovecraft and lots of other nasty things that make it a fast-paced, gun-blazing bloodbath.
All right, it took longer than any of us would’ve liked, thanks in no small part to various sicknesses, Tribeca and other conspiring factors, but I’m proud to announce that our massive toy gallery from New York Comic Con is now online!
I'm not sure why, but issues 10 & 11 of Horror Hound arrived within two days of each other ... Hence why we’re reviewing both at the same time.
Emo is infecting our lives, turning what once were scraggly obnoxious punk and metal kids into girl pants wearing, eyeliner smeared weepy piles of goo. Now the emo menace has made its way down to hell, and even the devil himself isn’t safe!! BE AFRAID!!!!
All right, we showed you the best glass you can possibly own for waiting out any zombie invasion (see ‘em here if you missed those), but now Evilshop has a better idea than waiting for a zombie apocalypse; GO TO HELL!
Mezco Toyz revealed to us today the upcoming figures for their Cinema of Fear line of toys and plushes! Here's what to expect in stores this October:
Today we got in a high-res pic of NECA's Cult Classics Series 7. The latest addition to the series is a Spiderwalking Regan from William Friedkin's 1973 classic The Exorcist.
Been a long day? On the outs with your honey during the zombie apocalypse? Got some red on you? Time to knock back a few cold ones! Drown your sorrows in style by heading over to our EVILSHOP and getting yourself a 16 oz. glass from everyone's favorite zombie shelter, the Winchester Pub!
Back during the annual Toy Fair, Mezco made some pretty cool announcements about their upcoming Cinema of Fear lineup, but not many pics of the actual figures were available. That’s because most are still in the prototype stage right now and awaiting approval.
Those of you out there who are serious collectors likely know the name Mego. Back in the 1970’s, Mego were the first company to release 8” poseable action figures for characters from “Star Trek” and “Batman”.
Much like the movie, the figure based on the monster seen in Cloverfield (review) was met with mixed opinions (“Hasbro's Cloverfield Monster Figure Revealed” – February 2008). The toy just didn't quite look like what we saw in the film.
Gentle Giant Studios has been floating around out with the other toy companies for a while now, slowly building a reputation as one of the best when it comes to their design and photo-realistic quality sculpts. So how cool is it that they’re finally getting into horror?
