Camera Obscura
We've done a lot of cool things here at Dread Central over the years, but one that stands out among the crowd was our participation with filmmaker Drew Daywalt to bring his fantastic web series
Camera Obscura to the masses. A few weeks ago we let you know about a mobile game version of the spooky property, and now we have even more coolness to drop on you!
Remember the
Camera Obscura web series from Drew Daywalt that we featured last October? Well, Camera Obscura is now available as a mobile game that you can download to your smart phones to go along with your Angry Birds.
Are you looking for that next killer app for your smartphone? Have you bashed every pig you could find in Angry Birds and need a new challenge? Well then, look no further because our friends at MWG Entertainment have you covered with the upcoming launch of the Camera Obscura mobile app.
Writer/director Drew Daywalt is no stranger to the independent horror world. In fact, a few of his projects have already shown up on other filmmakers’ lists, and during some Indie Horror Month interviews that will be running later this month, his name pops up frequently.
As you may recall, during the Halloween season Dread Central partnered with the fine folks at Dailymotion and "Camera Obscura" for the "Camera Obscura" Terrifying Costume Contest with a $1,000 first place cash prize, and today the winners were announced.
After our successful video chats with Reagan Dale Neis and Don Jeffcoat the past couple of weeks, the "Camera Obscura" folks are putting on another one on Friday, November 5th, at 4:30 pm ET/1:30 pm PT. This time the video chat will be with "Camera Obscura" writer and director, Drew Daywalt.

So we at Dread Central are partnering with the fine folks at Dailymotion and "Camera Obscura" to help you do just that.

Drew Daywalt knows fear. After all, he’s the guy regularly giving fans a look into the “School of Fear” on FEARnet.com, and after establishing himself in the world of horror short films with Fewdio, Daywalt has now stepped out on his own with his Daywalt Fear Factory, which releases some of the eeriest short films you’ll find on the Internet.
Part of what makes the horror genre so much fun is all the creatures lurking in the shadows. One man who knows that in particular is special effects creator Jeff Farley, whose work has recently been featured in "Camera Obscura", a new web series by Drew Daywalt that is currently being featured on Daily Motion as well as right here on Dread Central.
Have you been watching the webseries Camera Obscura as it unfolds each day? 14 episodes have now been released and we've got everything you need right here to bring you up to speed.
